Pat Rafter has formally retired from professional tennis. (Yeah, I thought he retired last year too, but apparently he was just taking time off to think about it.) My sister will be sad. The photo gallery accompanying that story should cheer her up though. She once spent, like, a whole summer Photoshopping herself into photos with him. Seriously. (Hey Sis, he lives in Sydney! Just one more reason to visit...)

damn. my fondness for the sport has been declining - the last it really interested me was when andre and pete played in the u.s. this summer. and what a struggle that was. i've come to admire andre and sort of dislike my bald man pete and his skanky ho of a wife. what's happening!? and now pat gone? (and hey, i didn't see no stinking photo gallery...)

A bunch of kids here were playing tennis in the street at midnight so I stuck my head out the windows and told them to stop making such a racket.
