Oscar nominations are out! Not a lot of surprises there. I'm sooo happy for Queen Latifah and John C. Reilly (and I'll throw in a "I told you so" regarding Richard Gere). But hey, what the hell is this The Pianist movie? I've never even heard of it!

Anybody up for joining me in a Yahoo! Pick 'Em game? They haven't posted it yet, but I'm sure they will. If there's interest I'll start one up...

hey, i love oscar pools. count me in! :-) i always suck at them though, as i pick what i want to win, rather than what i know will. forget richard gere, what about peter jackson and the best pictue nominee that apparently wrote and directed itself?

I'm betting he was left out on the grounds that the Academy Awards are for people, and he is clearly a hobbit. :)

i don't know what this pianist business is all about - i swear it came out like, 3 years ago. and wasn't jodie foster in it? oh wait, that must have been "the piano" or something. movies about pianos suck.
