So what's the deal with the US finale of Survivor? We just saw Christa get booted and apparently there are only two episodes to go. We're getting one Sunday night and then the last on Monday. Does anybody know the US schedule? Basically, I'm trying to find out how long I have to go Internet-less to avoid being spoiled...

I think you're only going to be a little bit behind, Kris--like maybe only a day or so (the date line thing throws me off, sorry). According to the TiVo, we get an episode tomorrow night (Thursday the 11th), then the two-hour finale this Sunday (the 14th). Good luck staying spoiler-free, but if Jon wins then I'm afraid you'll find out anyway--my scream of "Dear God NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" will be heard 'round the world.

Wait... if you guys get the finale on *your* Sunday, that'll be our Monday! So the blackout only really needs to extend from Monday morning. Excellent!

Max - Do you give any credence to the rumors that Jon's not actually playing to win, but rather to build up a fan base for his eventual debut as a professional wrestling "bad guy"?

Oh, Lord--that's the first time I've heard that rumor about Jon, but it cracks me up. I prefer to stick to my orinal theory, which is that he's a giant f***ing arsehole (sorry for the profanity, but I feel strongly about this). I'm glad your internet blackout is going to be a short one!

Yeah, it's all over the Television Without Pity messageboard, and it does kinda explain a lot. (There's another one that says Sandra is secretly controlling the whole game, hence her random vote for Jon on the night Rupert got evicted.)
