World Wide Knitting in Public Day
After much debate and research (I spoke to several City events coordinators), everyone seems to agree that the best venue... is the same one we had last year. Yep, we're making it official, folks.

Where: Sidewalk Cafe + Bar, Sydney Opera House
When: Saturday, June 9, 2007 from 2pm onwards
Bring: Your knitting! A fold-up chair might be useful if you have one, and sunscreen if it's a sunny day.

I hope to see everybody there!

Sorry to throw in a last minute suggestion but it is only a small change. There is a new cafe on the west side of the Opera House that is not so busy as Sidewalk and has a fantastic view. "Café West and Bar: Nestled beneath the Sydney Opera House Colonnade"

Mary-Helen and I considered that place, Kate, but there's a note on the site that you have to place your drink orders at the Theatre Bar. That seems to indicate that we'd need to be going in and out of the building. We figured the lushes amongst the group (represent!) would prefer a shorter walk to get their grog. :)

sounds like fun! i'm going to be in sydney for a business trip and i would love to join you guys. i'll just look for the knitters when i get there since i don't know anyone... :)
