"Beware the lure of casino carpets." HA! The first time I ever went to Star City, the Snook told me in all seriousness that the extremely ugly and distracting carpeting was a deliberate choice to "hide the vomit stains." (Link courtesy of Lynnette.)

It was nearly the end of me when we visited the Wynn at the same time as - no kidding - a Red Hat convention. Talk about sensory overload. I just kept thinking that if one of them fell down, they would be lost forever.

So whats the excuse for the carpet at the airport?

Coming back to Australia from overseas and being faced with that hideous blue and yellow carpet, particularly after an overnight flight... whoever invented the 1980s in Australia deserves to be shot!
