UK General elections (the ones where you vote for new government) are on a Thursday and held in schools so kids get the day off 🙂 Opening times are normally 7am until 10pm, i think.
Can’t remember about local council elections but maybe they are the same.

Yep, council elections and all are on Thursdays in UK. And open late and early.
