Pay me NOT to eat!

During the weekend of Mary 14-16, 2004 I participated in the World Vision 40 Hour Famine to raise money for hunger relief in Tanzania. The idea was that folks would pledge some money for a good cause, and I'd get to test my willpower by going 40 hours with no food. I really had no idea that so many people would support me. I collected over $500 in pledges from friends, family, and co-workers around the world! It really made the experience easier knowing that I had so many people counting on me.

The Snook was there through it all to provide moral support (and keep me honest). He also helped me make a short film to document the experience. As you can see, my first post-famine meal was a giant hamburger with all the fixin's. It was so good.
