Introducing Dr. Amy Jones!

Introducing Dr. Amy Jones!

Dr. Amy Jones

And just like that, we’re a family.

The cat’s name was originally going to be Dr. Alowicious Jones, but that’s really more of a boy’s name and she’s a girl. So then we came up with the idea of naming her after my sister, for the pure comedy of saying, “Amy shat all over the floor!” and “Amy’s coughing up a hairball.” Think of it as a compliment, Sis. 🙂

  1. awwwww, look at that face!!!!!
And lord knows the world needs more Amys if I do say so myself.
    CONGRATS!
time to start knitting some kitty toys, eh?

  2. Hee. I didn’t even realize til after I SMSed you that it was your name too!

She’s tortoiseshell and white, and she’s beautiful! Three months old, so she’s still a little kitteny but not quite so needy. We liked another kitty too, but Dr. Jones had a wonky half-tail – she was born with it that way, apparently – so we decided she needed more love. It’s been so funny watching her explore the house (and us). I need to get some double-sided tape though, as she’s already evidenced a propensity to climb on our IKEA and bookshelves. We need a scratching post too, as I’ve caught her a couple times flexing her claws on the couch. (We’re pretty cool with that though, given that it’s a two-year-old IKEA cover and we can probably use a new one anyway.)

  12. Comment spam deleted. Wow, I wonder if the Asbury Park Public Library would be interested to know that their network is being used to send comment spam…? (Yes, dickhead, I log IPs.)
