Infuriating and wrong-headed. And I say that as both a trans-ally and a previous high school theatre nerd who threw on a fake beard to dance across the stage in L’Chaim because there weren’t enough men in the cast. (And GUESS WHAT, the world didn’t end and there were no protests by pearl-clutching transphobic Hoosiers, because the theatre is all about dressing up and playing pretend.)
