    @gilmae We own gloves. I’m just an idiot.

    I nominate “Ninjaneer” as the worst portmanteau of 2020. (And yes, I realise it’s only January 8.)

    @twasink Nono no I retract that gauntlet!!

    @hannes_lowette Spotted on a LinkedIn job advert, if you can believe it. *shudder*

    @hannes_lowette Now I suppose the question is whether @dylanbeattie can rhyme it with anything… 🤔

    Unfortunately I’ve had to pull out of @gdcfpday Sydney this year 😭, but you should 100% still attend! There are some excellent mentors who will help kickstart your technical speaking career… https://t.co/U1PSgTXZ4c

    RT @abbyfuller: Come work with us! https://t.co/wLAXfl1iWj

    @crankymate You should totes use that in your JDs! 😜

    @gilmae Hm. Maybe @igorlgentil can enlighten us?

    @mootpointer I was delighted to discover recently while surfing AO3 that people have actually written fanfic about being a horrible goose. 😂

    @igorlgentil @gilmae Who in the heck is Gilmar??

    I stupidly cut some peppers for dinner last night without wearing gloves. “14 hours, a shower, and multiple hand washings should make it okay to put in my contacts, right?” Nope. 😭🌶

    @bec_h2o What did you end up getting?

    @bec_h2o Ooh, I was very interested in the Bernette 77, but ultimately opted for the Janome Skyline S5. https://t.co/bDISUDr11H

    @Opheli8 @DDsD 😂👏

    @BartholomewD You reckon? I read a lot of folks who thought this version of her read as “neuroatypical,” which I found at least somewhat interesting.

    @BartholomewD I mean, I also liked it but didn’t LOVE it. But that wasn’t the reason for me.

    @BartholomewD I didn’t like the jumbled up timeline. I get why she did it, and why it wasn’t all about romance, but I spent the whole time thinking about that aspect rather than getting caught up in the story.

    @BartholomewD Yeah, that made it difficult. I also felt like Jo’s hair grew back *really* fast!

    3rd sewing project of 2020: replacing the broken zipper on my denim Iris shorts. It’s a slight bodge, but at least they’re wearable again! https://t.co/gnjHss8YY3

    😲 @knitabulous !! https://t.co/ucrKMreVpo

    RT @AustenDress: A wonderful book for anyone interested in sewing and embroidery of Jane Austen’s day. https://t.co/IseuEwKrza

    RT @MadFckingWitch: Witches! TODAY IS THE DAY. Get your brooms polished and your witches britched, because today we ride. Our #NewsCorpse c…

    This is 100% why I was reluctant to go for a computerised sewing machine. Some of them have essentially iPads stuck on the front! https://t.co/gHs8Ue8CVt

    @thisismywww I want wifi in as little things as possible. Even dishwashers come with it nowadays. *shakes head*

    @waggacrow @twelveeyes https://t.co/kfEYyWfXxA

    @amitchell01 Like I said, I was boycotting them from long before… https://t.co/kfEYyWfXxA

    @developerjack Sadly, my decision not to name people is mostly out of fear of retaliation. This person lives in Sydney. And yeah, it sucks that I have to do this calculus.

    @developerjack Well given that both @roisinparkes and I got the same message, there’s at least two big companies where he’s going to find it hard to get work…

    @liza_moss @claudiajayne_ Oh god, just found a blog post that dissects the response TSE ordered to be released when the letters were. He’s even more of a dick than I realised. https://t.co/aA08Jx1b5w

    RT @readingtheend: TS Eliot’s love letters to an ex-gf got released yesterday, and he wrote a statement rebutting his own love letters, and…

    @amitchell01 @JanomeAustralia I’m well aware! Already have friends contributing. 🙂

    @diversionary Thanks – I love this stuff. One of my goals for this year is to make more craft videos.

    UPDATE: My reply to him that LinkedIn is not a dating site earned a “lol”. Like WTF. Reporting to @LinkedIn now. https://t.co/Yuuoi809xL

    First finished knitting project in ages! Easy Eyelet Yoke Lite in Hobbii Twister (cotton/acrylic). Colour is, appropriately, “Jungle.” Details going up on Rav shortly… https://t.co/tBDu8Kwayp https://t.co/sw8T5Gbz2P

    First two sewing projects with the new machine! 3.5 inches cut off and hemmed on one pair of pants, and another pair converted into shorts. https://t.co/IlI2wvC2S6

    @bec_h2o I also had to patch the hip pockets – his keys had worn holes in both of them! I recorded it so I might do a little video of it this week. 🙂

    Which emoji scissors actualliy close? I love stuff like this. https://t.co/dq8hiJBBsZ (Yes, I’m actively trying to avoid the bad news of the world this morning, why do you ask?) ✂️

    TFW you discover that yet another person you know used to work with @frankarr! ❤️ https://t.co/vD6SVA0Q6y

    Thanks @WaywardBeer for quenching our thirst on a very hot day AND supporting the hardworking firies!! ❤️👨‍🚒🧑‍🚒👩‍🚒👏🍻 @ Wayward Brewing Company https://t.co/ItEwxw6cXx

    @frankarr Frances said hi!

    RT @nareenyoung: If you’re thinking of donating, give to the Red Cross, not the Salvos. The Salvos put conditions on their ‘help’ and assis…

    Schitt’s Creek Season 6 is premiering soon… Anybody in Australia know how we can watch other than waiting for it to hit Netflix in 8 months?? @glenngillen

    @mrembach @glenngillen My luck with VPNs for US shows has run out – they seem to get blocked within a day. If you know of any that aren’t, please DM me!

    These are not the quick replies that I need, @LinkedIn. 😠 How about “F**k off”? Or better yet, auto-detect these and save me the trouble of typing “LinkedIn is not a dating site.” https://t.co/nDrC5ulLoO

    @roisinparkes @LinkedIn Obviously we both have beautiful smiles! 🙄

    Come to Mama… https://t.co/uoUsXTDBMl

    @JulieKalitis My first new machine in 20 years! 😱

    @richbuggy @glenngillen Kind of the nuclear option. We do, you know, have access to computers. 😂

    @amitchell01 I’m not at the lynch mob stage yet, but give it another year or two…

    @JasonUmiker I don’t even get that many. Young women get hit with a lot worse. 🙁

    @richie62363343 Right?!

    Meet Christmas to me! So many projects percolating… Thanks @hobbysewtopryde! @janomeaustralia https://t.co/iHkC66NyB9 https://t.co/C4w3K69w1p

    @MichelePlayfair Yep, in Sydney which is why I added them. Thought it was a legit request. 🤷‍♀️

    @randomknits Reminds me of one of my fave books as a kid! https://t.co/MlC3d1TVvV

    @randomknits @unlikelylibrary I should mention (if you haven’t read it), that one of the kids writes “HELP I’M A PRISONER IN THE LIBERRY” on a note.

    @AnthonyRees It’s just microaggressions. A lot of people have to deal with a lot worse, I know, but you get tired of dealing with it over and over and over. 🙁

    For years we’ve avoided donating to the Salvos whenever possible, even their Op Shops. Give your charity $$ to the Red Cross or otheres who don’t pick and choose who they help based on religion. https://t.co/wYoAjJJaGM

    @MingJohanson I know, but it really shouldn’t be on us to educated every idiot in the world.
