Ebert only gave Spider-Man two-and-a-half stars. Oh, and he insinuates that Peter Parker is impotent. Great. This movie is going to be completely ruined for me by the time it actually comes out here.

Nothin' can ruin a movie like CREEPY Tobey Maguire. Creepy, creepy, creepy. The kid with the face of a serial killer. Mark my words.

Well, I agree that he's kinda creepy in real life. He always acts like he's slightly dazed. But in movies, I like him. In movies where he's nerdy yet buff superhero in spandex, I love him. :)

I see, interesting. To me, Spandex just adds another layer of hate. But, I'll give it to you.

Okay, so I saw Spider-Man last night. It was a good movie. Much to my surprise (my boy and I had discussed our hesitation about him earlier) Tobey Maguire was really good. I honestly was not happy with the casting choice, but by the end, I was thoroughly convinced he could be both Peter Parker AND Spidey. Kirsten Dunst, on the other hand, definitely had some disappointing deliveries. She would go into this little girl-like voice sometimes where I felt like I was watching her at age 16 in acting class. Special effects were good, when they happened...which wasn't as much as I had hoped. Overall, I think I was slightly disappointed, but I attribute that to how EXCITED I was to see it. If it had been 'just another movie' I would say it rocked. Anyone else?
