Brownie Pan

Any of you Yanks willing to send me a Baker’s Edge pan? They look awesome, and I’ve never seen them here.

  1. That pan means EVERY PIECE has pan edges. I hat the edge pieces. Give me the centre bits any time…

  2. I’m more of a gooey brownie eater myself. That said, I can order one for ya if you still need someone to get you one. I’ve yet to see any in the stores. NotMartha reports that they are coming out with a wider version for lasagna sometime soon.

  3. Hands up for the gooey centre bits… mmm…

  4. Hmm. I had thought they were silicone, but it looks like they’re actually heavy aluminum. That would probably make them prohibitively expensive to post. 🙁

  5. According to the details page, the dry weight is 2.5 lbs. I don’t know what the shipping rate would be on that though.

  6. The edge bits are edgier (crispy/chewy) and the center bits are gooier. It’s win-win. Kris, you’re right–it is a HEAVY pan (only 2.5 pounds? Mine feels heavier) and shipping costs might be an issue. Still, I’ll be glad to help out if need be, so let me know–you really should have one. I love mine, and the kids in my classes go NUTS when I bring in brownies from it (“These are from the all-edges pan!”).

  7. Hmm. 2.5 pounds on the USPS site looks like about $20 via Air Mail to Australia. That might be doable. Kristen‘s offered to do some sort of a crafty barter, so I’ll see if I can work it out with her. I’ll let you guys know if I need you though! Thanks for the offers.

  8. I’m blaming you for my bone-deep need to bake today. I’m thinking red velvet cake as I do not have the edgy-goodness pan for brownies.
