I’ve changed the DNS to point to purpleweasels.org, and that should be propagated sometime in the next day or two. So you’ll be able to see it soon. I warn you though, I’m just working on functionality, not design. So it’s all just text for now. Once I get it workin’, then I’ll put up the design. (So if you have any ideas, let me know.)
Yesterday I got the hardest part out of the way – the logging in/out business. I had to figure out how to use sessions in PHP, and it took HOURS. In the end it was easy to implement, but there were so many different ways of doing it that I basically had to try them all.
So that’s done, and now I’m finishing up the “news stories” stuff. Everybody can see stories and read comments, but only logged in people can leave them. I’m just doing the searching and archiving bits now.
Next will come the People Directory. If you want to help me test it, just let me know and I’ll create a login for you once it’s ready…
