American Chop Suey: The Cheesy, Beefy, Misnamed Stovetop Casserole That Deserves a Comeback | Serious Eats – Interesting. I think back home in Indiana we called this goulash. I’ve certainly never heard it called “American Chop Suey.” I wonder if it’s the equivalent of Beef and Cabbage Stir-fry (aka the horrifically named “Chinky Chonky”)…
