Preparations are underway...
Yeah, that's a lot of eyeballs. Forty-two, to be exact. (I didn't even plan that.) What's even worse is, I actually threw out more than a third of the peanut butter mixture I made. I really should measure when I start these projects...

Oh, and if you catch us during daylight hours, you may see this year's special Halloween Rasterbation on CouchCam. It's the Wolfman!

Excellent! I'm going to make these this year as well as witch's fingers for our Falloween Celebration. We have it every year, but I've never made "spooky snacks" before. I'm also making spider nest dip for tortilla chips (it's the classic layered dip with the guac and beans and salsa, etc, except with a sour cream spider web and plastic spiders on top) and "brains and crackers" using a brain mold for my mom's cheese ball recipe.

I hope your party goes well. Thanks for the creepy recipes and ideas!

Oh man, I really wanted to do a brain mold too! I just couldn't find one here and I left it too late to get one sent out. Mom's on a mission to find me one for next year in the post Halloween sales. :)

I cracked the secret of successfully dipping these suckers this year, by the way. A toothpick just doesn't really hold them secure enough. Luckily I found this completely random little fork amongst our rag-tag silverware; I think it's a pickle fork? It has two tiny little tines. Just enough to spear a peanut butter ball and securely twirl it in the chocolate. I wonder if one of those corn cob holders would work as well? Good luck!

I made a whole mess of these last night (used a fondue fork for dippin'--seemed to work pretty well) for a party hosted by a fellow grad student. Costumes on, Bucky Eyeballs (as in Bucky Badger) in hand, the last thing to do was print the email with the party address.

Stupid school email server was down.

If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Ooh, fondue fork is brilliant!
