Geek confession: I’ve never read any H.P. Lovecraft. I heard of Cthulhu, of course, but that’s about it. I was never big into horror, really. Well, in a fit of Halloween-related inspiration, Defective Yeti is going to be posting about Lovecraft every day this month. He mentioned today that you can get the whole canon for 99c on Kindle, so here I am. This is going to be scary, right?

I think you can get the whole thing for free off Project Gutenberg. I have it on my iPad. I think I’m actually most of the way through his anthology. Far enough along to want to bludgeon my face with the iPad every time he uses the word “eldritch”.

I am a role player and I never read too Lovecraft… I think it’s nearly worst. In fact, I tried, but after the first sentence, I was not anymore interested.

More weird than scary…but I adore Lovecraft, so I’m all for this journey of yours into the realm of The Old Ones. If nothing else, it will give you some pretty hilarious (and awesome) references to make around other Lovecraft nerds…and I see someone knitting a cute lil’ sock Cthulhu in the near future! 🙂
