Attention Sydneysiders! The brand-new Quizno’s at World Square is having its Grand Opening this Friday, and they’re giving away FREE SUBS between 11-2! I’ve never had a Quizno’s sub before; they seem to have come to national prominence in the States well after I left. (Didn’t they do some really wacky commercials, like with monkeys or something?) Anyway, I was tempted not to post this lest you all show up and eat all the FREE SUBS before I get there, but my magnanimous nature won out…

OMG!! I love Quizino’s and I was so sad when the one in myers food court left :'( Unfortunatly I will be no where near World square between 11 and 2. Waaaa!

I really don’t care that much for Quizno’s, but lots of people here seem to really like it. I will be curious to see your reaction to the subs there.

My favorite is the turkey bacon guacamole on the low carb wrap. The low carb wrap is this really soft flat bread that is YUMMY! I eat it even though I’m not doing the low carb thing right now.

Hmm. Looking at the menu they gave me when I stopped by, there’s no “low carb wrap” option here. Just “Toasty Subs”, some “Low(er) Fat” subs, salads, and soup. I’m guess it’s going to be a bit of a Points blowout so I’m saving up…

Yeah, I tried to contact Quizno’s corporate for nutrition/calorie information, but never heard back. From my estimates, the low carb chicken bacon guacamole wrap was around 570 calories. Wow! I’d imagine getting the full bread sandwich would be more…

Hmm. They didn’t have it on the menu, but on a poster inside the shop they claim that your bread choices are white, wheat, and “flat bread.” Not a wrap, but sort of a folded-over pita looking thing. Is that the same? They don’t use the words “low-carb” anywhere, and since it wasn’t on the menu I don’t know if it’s actually going to be available…
