I like mochi. I wonder if I’d like warabi mochi. Sydney foodies: anybody know where I can find warabimochiko and kinako?

Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

I’ve had these in Tokyo, but the only place I have seen it here is in a private Japanese club.
I’m gonna check the Miracle grocery store at World Square when I get a chance. They seem to have a pretty extensive selection of Japanese imported food; that’s where I currently get my genmaicha and sencha from.
(I was thinking of trying out that exact same recipe.)
